I completed the Spartan Race Super Malaysia on the 9 July 2017 at Nexus International School Malaysia, Putrajaya. The distance was 14.2km with 29 obstacles. It was a tropical and humid environment. I signed up in the Spartan Elite Category to get the feel of being surrounded with the top Spartan Racer. Self-Awareness is an essential key element of success. I had a reflection during my flight back home, here are my 3 important lessons from running the Spartan Race Super.
I ordered the SPARTAN OCR SLIT GRIP from Fit Four. I was satisfied with the product. Ever since then, I never have the calluses on my palm. I had zero downtime from my training. I used the gloves for obstacles specific training, powerlifting and of course running the Spartan Race.
I live to inspire people to embrace the adversity of life so that they can grow living life with fulfilment. That is why I Race. Let’s look at the two Spartans crossing the finish line right before the fire. One with a complete set of body, 2 arms and 2 legs. The other Spartan had 2 arms, 1 leg and crutches.
Burpee is a full body workout! It will burn fat, build endurance and works your entire body so hard that exhausted athletes have been known to stop mid-burpee workout and, be huffing and puffing, use what little breath they can muster to curse profusely. Like pushups and jumping jacks, the humble bodyweight exercise can be done virtually anywhere, at any interval, with absolutely no equipment necessary except a functioning cardiovascular system and a strong stomach.
My top 3 toughest obstacles from Spartan Race would be the Spear Throw aka The Burpee Maker, the Bucket Brigade which will wear down your body significantly, and finally, the Multi Rig which will test your upper body strength and endurance.Brigade which will wear down your body significantly, and finally, the Multi Rig which will test your upper body strength and endurance.
